J1 visa holders must first get a G4 visa abroad before beginning work or an unpaid internship at the WB.

Requirements Criteria for Scholarship:

Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree and be enrolled full-time in a graduate programme (pursuing a master’s or PhD with intentions to return to school full-time) in order to be eligible for an internship. No age restriction applies.
