How to Apply for Scholarship:
- The AFLSP is a scholarship program for graduate students from designated universities in Asia who have been admitted to a master’s degree program at Kyoto University.
- To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must apply during the application period, which runs from April 1 to April 10, 2023.
- Applicants should read the Application Guidelines, which are available in both Japanese and English, and prepare the required documents, which include a Scholarship Application Form, a Research Plan, an Essay on a contemporary key issue in Asia, a Letter of Recommendation, a photograph, a Certificate of English Proficiency, a copy of their university diploma, an Academic Transcript, a Declaration of Understanding and Agreement, a Letter of Admission from Kyoto University, and a copy of their Residence Card (both sides).
- All application documents must be sent in PDF format as a single ZIP folder to the email address provided on the AFLSP website.
- Applicants who graduated or will graduate from a designated university in China must also submit the “教育部学歴証書電子注冊備案表” or “教育部学籍在線験証報告.”
